Develop competencies in leadership at your own pace that will allow you to best serve your agency and your community with the cost-effective and self-driven Emerging Leaders Program.
“The Emerging Leaders” course of the National Command & Staff College is a 5-week self-paced on-line educational course. Law Enforcement and Corrections personnel have logged over 9 Million hours of online educational time in this program, so far.
For me these “Emerging Leaders” courses have helped, transformed, and confirmed the way I desire to work and the ways I desire to live my life. Leadership/Management has been something that I have wanted to do and wanted to be but one thing that has kept me from fully committing is my weaknesses. With this training it has encouraged me that my weakness can in fact be strength and that with Integrity, Humility, Compassion, Empathy, and Determination I can and will make a difference and represent Law Enforcement with Honor. Thank You for this training it has grown me and encouraged me!” Brandon Jokinen, Corrections Officer, Isanti County Sheriff’s Office/Jail, May 2018

What Is A Badge?
Digital badges are dynamic, 21st century credentials that tell your whole certification and education story. Digital badges allow employers and universities to easily see the full picture of your accomplishments, including verifiable skills and achievements, they’re becoming the new standard in training and certification.
They are like a “Pin” or a “Badge” you wear on your uniform representing your achievements.
The digital badge contains verified metadata that describes your qualifications and the process required to earn them as reviewed and approved by the American Council on Education. The badge can be used to request official transcripts to universities and/or employers.
The badge can also be used in email signatures or digital resumes, and on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.

“The essential building blocks gained from the courses of the National Command and Staff College further the advancement of leadership and its role in public service and public trust. It is only through this trust that we as leaders can progress in raising the level of commitment and dedication to the ideals we swear by. This trust must extend to both those with which we serve as well as those with which we serve alongside.” Sgt. Adam Gonzalez, Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, UT
