The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association (ISA) has set a new standard in leadership and innovation! Honorable Mike Braun, Governor of Indiana, joined the National Command & Staff College (NCSC) in recognizing every ISA member with the Innovation in Leadership Award for spearheading the MAGNUS Coach Certification Program for First Responders nationwide.
Key Highlights:
SA Graduates Sheriff Sherri Heichelbech & Sheriff Jerry Goodin led the charge in advancing the MAGNUS movement.
ISA President Bob Goldsmith received the Distinguished 2025 Trophy, presented by Director Steve Luce, honoring his commitment to public safety leadership.
Dr. Cathy Greenberg, Executive Director of the program at NCSC, awarded Innovation in Leadership Certificates to all ISA members, recognizing their trailblazing contributions.
The MAGNUS Coach Certification Program is the ONLY ICF-accredited coaching program designed for public safety professionals, equipping first responders with the skills to master mental toughness, resilience, and leadership.

This week, Ryan Boxwell, Sam Spiegel, Mark Garcia, and Dave Dominguez are in Huntington Beach, CA, delivering the MAGNUS Leadership Workshop to police and fire agencies across California. In partnership with the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (CJPIA), this elite training focuses on resilience, tactical decision-making, and high-impact leadership—arming public safety professionals with the tools to dominate challenges in the field.

At the Western States Sheriffs' Association Conference in Reno, Nevada, history was made as Sheriff Mark Dannels of Cochise County, Arizona, was officially knighted as a Knight of MAGNUS. This prestigious honor is awarded to law enforcement leaders who demonstrate unwavering dedication, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
A Legacy of Leadership: Sheriff Dannels joins an elite class of leaders, including: Matt Thomas, Mark Lamb, and Jim Franklin.

Today at the Orange Beach Police Department, Alabama, the Knights of MAGNUS tradition stood strong!
Sergeant Carl Bradley proudly presented the Knights of MAGNUS award to Sergeant Joey Brown for his unwavering commitment to leadership, resilience, and excellence.
In turn, Sergeant Joey Brown carried the honor forward, presenting the award to Chief Steve Brown, recognizing his dedication to the values that define MAGNUS Leadership.

Oklahoma City: Advancing Wellness & Supporting Law Enforcement
The MAGNUS team is heading to Oklahoma City to certify the wellness team on the MAP and attend the Blue Knight Gala at Aspen Ranch, supporting the OKC Police Foundation.
