The Official Kickoff – NSA Winter Conference Begins!

On February 1, 2025, we officially launched the NSA Winter Conference with an impactful opening session, featuring a fireside chat between NSA President Sheriff Kieran Donahue and Border Czar Tom Homan. Discussions focused on law enforcement challenges, security, and the future of policing, setting the tone for a powerful week ahead.

The first day also featured dynamic seminar sessions and committee meetings, bringing together key decision-makers to discuss policy, training, and emerging trends in law enforcement.

The highlight of the evening was the induction of three distinguished individuals into the prestigious Knighthood of MAGNUS.

A Knight of MAGNUS is more than a title—it is a calling. It signifies a commitment to leadership, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in service to others.

Purple Day – Shining a Light on Domestic Violence Prevention

For the first time in NSA Winter Conference history, Purple Day took center stage.

NSA President Sheriff Kieran Donahue and First Lady Jeanie Donahue led discussions on the Man Up Crusade, a powerful movement dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence.

Their inspiring message reinforced the critical role of law enforcement in protecting victims and preventing domestic violence nationwide.

Honoring Leadership & Wellness in Law Enforcement

True leadership goes beyond the badge—it’s about caring for those who serve.

Captain (Ret.) Dan Willis delivered a powerful session on officer wellness, emphasizing resilience, proactive support, and healing from trauma.

Law enforcement leaders must not only focus on how officers perform their job but also on how the job affects them. This session served as a critical reminder of the importance of mental health and support systems in policing.

A Special Honor – Induction of Huey "Hoss" Mack into the Knights of MAGNUS

Dr. Mitch Javidi had the great honor of inducting Huey “Hoss” Mack into the Knights of MAGNUS, recognizing his exceptional leadership and dedication to law enforcement.

MAGNUSWorx, along with Kizaan Knapp and Louie Wollenweber, hosted an unforgettable evening celebrating those who lead with purpose and passion.

Dr. Mitch Javidi, alongside Jeff Kingsield and MAGNUSWorx, delivered a game-changing session:

With insights from Steve Luce, Dr. Javidi also introduced the MAGNUS Acceleration Program (MAP), further emphasizing the importance of resilience, leadership, and peak performance in law enforcement.
